Privacy policy

What we collect, why we collect it and your rights. The short version: no tracking, and contact form messages only.

Last updated 3 November 2026

This policy explains what personal information BestWasteCompanies.co.uk ("we", "us") collects, why, and what rights you have under UK data protection law.

The short version

  • We do not set cookies ourselves, and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
  • We only collect personal information when you send us a message through our contact form.
  • We use it only to read and reply to your message, and we never sell it.

Information we collect

When you use our contact form

We collect the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, the reason for your message, and any city, company name, page address and message text you include. We use this information to understand and respond to your message, and to correct or update our rankings where needed. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and keeping our content accurate.

The form is processed by Web3Forms, a form handling service, which receives the information you submit and forwards it to our email inbox. Web3Forms acts as our processor for this purpose.

When you browse the site

We do not set cookies ourselves and we do not run analytics. Like all websites, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, and it may set a strictly necessary security cookie to filter out automated traffic. The site is hosted on Cloudflare.

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these fonts, Google receives your IP address. Google's own privacy policy applies to that data.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form messages for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow up, and we delete them when they are no longer needed, normally within 12 months.

Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with the companies we list or with anyone else, except the service providers named above who help us run the site, or where we are required to by law.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, contact us.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
